It all started with a ring, a gift from my sister that I treasured dearly.
I still remember the very moment I lost it. It was at a party, where I entrusted the ring to a friend. It disappeared into the night and despite my best efforts, it seemed the ring had found a life of its own, passing from friend to friend.
In the years that followed, I found myself drawn to jewelry stores, hoping to stumble upon a replica of that lost ring. But try as I might, nothing quite matched it. Then, one day, inspiration struck while listening to a podcast on creativity. What if I could recreate the ring myself? And so began my goldsmithing journey with the wonderful Susanne Boger with whom I took evening classes in Amsterdam while living and working there in 2017.
As I continued learning, I felt a sense of purpose take shape in my hands. And when I recreated the ring, it was more than just a piece of jewelry - it was a symbol of hope and empowerment.
This experience taught me that jewelry is more than just an accessory; it carries meaning and memories. This is why I’ve decided to share the art of jewelry making, nurturing a space for others to explore their own stories and craft new memories. Jewelry making, for me, is a journey of self-discovery and connection and with every piece I make, I hope to inspire the same in others.
